Version:           1.7 (using KDE 3.3.0, Gentoo)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.3.4 20040623 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.4-r1, ssp-3.3.2-2, pie-8.7.6)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.9-rc2-mm1

right now the situation is that if I select multiple files to be added and click ok, several dialogs will appear, showing the process of each file, imho it would be better if only one save-as, copy, download (or whatever the title of this dialog is) would appear in which multiple files are handled (like when copying multiple files via konqueror)

The dialog windows close right after a file has been attached in KMail 1.8.x (KDE 3.4.x). So where is the real problem with that except that you end up having some windows opened for 1-3 seconds and closed when the attachments are created?

This is now a problem of the plasma notification system. Probably its behaviour will still be enhanced independently of kmail.
