I would love to have an option to put the cursor / caret at the bottom of the quoted pard when replying to mail.

I would even suggest to put that behaviuor as a default, for this way of replying is much smoother and helps the readability of mailing lists and their archives on the web.

I agree on the necessity of a configurable quoting behaviour (maybe in a tab similar to those used for Re: and Fwd: in the subject); i do not agree to the proposal to put the caret by default under the quoted text, because the majority of mail archives cuts messages above a certain size.
