Description Eggert Ehmke 2004-09-23 14:38:51 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

When I use the "test capabilities of server" function to test my smtp server, I get the answer:
AUTH PLAIN LOGIN CRAM-MD5
(traced via ethereal). Actually, KMail only offers the options PLAIN and CRAM_MD5, the other options are grayed out. In fact, both are not working correctly, but LOGIN does.

I think, "my": http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101737 is the same. without encryption it works.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
