Description Peter 2004-09-11 17:24:21 UTC
Version: 3.2 (using KDE 3.2.3, Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker)
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.1 (Mandrakelinux (Alpha 3.4.1-3mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8.1-8mdksmp

This is follows up my previous wish-list.

For KNotes to Auto-expand or Auto-minimize (which you thought might be tricky), how about taking advantage of KDE's windowing functionality?

That is, issue a 'shade' command to minimize the note on the 'LostFocus' event and issue a restore command on the 'MouseOver' event.

Shading is just the right height to let me hide my KNote within the height of another application's Title-bar a kay requirement for me! :) while keeping it visible and still clickabe, dragable, etc.

Finally can you please communicate directly with me about possibly getting access to your source code for compiling, testing, etc.? I mean is it possible to do so without downloading all of KDE?

I appreciate my comments above might seem crass -- sorry.

Brad,

Following up -- will this ticket get worked on anytime soon?

Thanks,
Peter

Nothing done to resolve.

Guess I'll have to abandon this app and find another where work is still active

Yes, you might do that, for I am currently writing my diploma thesis. So other
than bugfixes I can't do much hacking for KDE.

But note that no new features are allowed for KDE 3.x anyway, only for KDE 4.
