Please use Unix terminilogy if KDE runs under KDE and Windows terminilogy if KDE runs unter Windows. All other possibilities are inconsistent and confusing.

There are no folders under Unix und Unix-like OS.
(man dir, man mkdir, man ls (d for directory), man find, man hier, etc. ... look at all manpages, all sources, all shells, all filesystems, all standard tools, etc.).

I think KDE doesn't need to introduce new terminilogy and words. The old terminilogy is more correct and it works and everyone knows what a directory is.
