Is the crash within Kaffeine or Konqueror? As can be read in short in the headline when I click on some (not all) streams to be shown online in the web and I want to see (hear) it with kaffeine then the X-Server is killed and I cannot restart it, my SuSE 9.2 pro won't let me shift to a console (shift-ctrl-F-key doesn't work!) and the computer wants to restart X, but it doesn't work. Say I only see a black screen that looks like if I had typed "startx" on a console... Only cure to the problem is to push the power key and wait until SuSE is cleanly shut down, what happily works fine, so I would think the kernel still responds... What is most fascinating is, that this behaviour is reproduceable: open www.radio-arabella.de and click on "Live hören" and then click on the pop-up on "Live hören" again and the kaffeine is fired up and will kill X immediately after loading some bits. |
