Description uli9999 2004-09-01 19:32:41 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Web shortcuts always use GET to send the data. There should be an option to make them use the POST method.

The reason why this is useful is: some websites only support POST and do not respond to the same information sent using the GET method.

i just wanted to suggest the same (kde 3.5.1). i wanted to make a web shortcut for [1] but failed. konqueror is not able to work with POST.
(if i'm wrong, please can you help me with a suggestion how to make this "entrez" webshortcut to work?)

i know that from the webdesign point of view, using POST in such cases is wrong, but still, this is not a minority of pages unfortunately.

I for one would love to see this feature. I've stumbled upon a few websites which require POST method to work. This would really simplify things. This feature request has been here for over 2 years :( Sadly I don't have the expertise to implement this.
