Sentry Crash Report:

Description ieure 2004-08-31 00:34:14 UTC
Version: 0.9.0 (using KDE 3.3.0, (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 (Debian 1:3.3.4-7)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.7-1-686

I'd like to see more details in the Jabber file transfer window, such as file size, download speed, and eta. I.e. the same information that Konqueror displays when it's downloading a file.
Comment 1 Rinse De Vries 2004-08-31 16:47:15 UTC
I checked this on 2 machines, and kopete does not give any feedback at all, the file transfer dialog stays at 0%.

Checked this on SuSE 9.1 with Kopete 0.9 (kde 3.3)
Comment 2 Matt Rogers 2004-08-31 17:35:54 UTC
this should be able to be covered by the new file transfer stuff i'll be working on
Comment 3 ieure 2004-08-31 21:06:27 UTC
The progress bar works fine for me, I just want to see more than that.
Comment 4 Till Gerken 2004-09-02 11:02:20 UTC
Depending on the protocol, more or less information is shown. Nevertheless, the current file transfer API on Kopete's side (which is responsible for the dialogs) is crap but it is being worked on, as Matt said.
Comment 5 Anton Markov 2004-11-08 00:27:02 UTC
The latest Kopete (as of 0.9.0 at least) uses the same KDE transfer dialogue box as Konqueror. Could the origional poster check if this is resolved then?
Comment 6 ieure 2004-11-08 02:12:58 UTC
While it uses the same dialog, it doesn't display all the information that a Konq download window does. Notably missing are file size and download speed.

As you can see from my original report, I'm already using 0.9.0.

Implemented in trunk, will be in KDE 4.2
