Description J. Brad Hicks 2004-08-28 15:04:14 UTC
Version: 3.3 (using KDE 3.3.0, (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 (Debian 1:3.3.4-7)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.26-1-686

I see that the bug I'm reporting was reported as closed, but I've still got it, so I'm opening a new one. Konqueror on my machine ignores my font settings and prints almost all web pages in 14 point Arial. Enclosed: some simple HTML that displays the correct font in khtml, but comes out completely wrong in the Print Preview window and on the page.

Sample HTML

Nothing here but the mandatory tags, an in-line stylesheet, two subheadings,
and a short lorem ipsum paragraph.

Sample HTML rendered on screen in konqueror

Notice that it matches the fonts and sizes in the in-line CSS.

Sample HTML, displayed in print preview

Notice that it does not use the font settings from the CSS.

I cannot reproduce in konqueror 3.5.4, the font size looks fine to me.
Comment 5 Tommi Tervo 2006-08-30 23:54:03 UTC
Seems to be fixed at least for KDE 3.5.x. Please reopen if bug is still reprocible.
Comment 6 Ben Adler 2006-08-31 00:04:04 UTC
cannot reproduce in 3.5.2, webpage display and print preview match.
Comment 7 Mark A. Taff 2006-08-31 00:05:24 UTC
Cannot reproduce in Konqi 3.5.4.

The css in comment #1 will only work if the New century font is installed (It isn't). Otherwise it will show whatever font you have told Konqi to use as a default, in my case arial or similar. If you add backup fonts, and a final backup of the font-family (Serif or Sans Serif), it will work better.

Here Konqi renders both html and print preview equally.

I am closing this as we can't reproduce this bug in KDE 3.5.4. If you can J. Brad Hicks, please reopen and we'll try again.

Thanks.
