Description Juan 2004-08-27 19:10:54 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.2)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
OS: Linux

I wish there was a way to invite an entire contact group to a conversation, for example,
one of my groups could be "Work" or "Friends" and if I open a chat window with
some contact then I could click on Chat->Invite->Work and start chatting to my co-workers.

could also apply to jabber, which supports group chats the last time i checked.

Jabber supports group chats but I don't think they don't use the "any chat is
a group chat, just invite guys" model like MSN. AFAIK Jabber group chats are
more like IRC channels, you join them.

We should vote to make this wish come true!
Comment 4 Till Gerken 2004-08-29 10:28:36 UTC
You join Jabber group chats like IRC chats but maybe the new protocol supports invitations, too. I'll have to look this up.
Comment 5 Olivier Goffart 2004-11-28 21:41:39 UTC
It's possible to implement that for MSN, i'll have a look when i'll have time
Comment 6 Nicolas L. 2008-11-24 21:20:28 UTC
moving this wish to the WLM plugin
Comment 7 Andrew Crouthamel 2018-11-08 14:10:19 UTC
Hi there, sorry for the bad news, but WLM has been discontinued by Microsoft, so this bug will be closed.

Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone!
