Description Adam Koh 2004-08-21 12:16:04 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: GCC 3.3.2
OS: Linux

When the panel is on the left edge of the screen, the desktop icons shift a little more to the right each time that KDE is restarted, with the result that all icons eventually get shifted off the right side and rearranged all over the place.

How to Reproduce:

1. Set panel position to left edge, no autohide
2. Exit KDE
3. Start KDE
4. Repeat Step 2...

With each restart, the desktop icons move further and further to the right.

This seems to be related to bug:82800 and bug:47627
Comment 2 Ingo Klöcker 2004-08-31 17:40:27 UTC
This is indeed a duplicate of bug 82800. But it's no duplicate of bug 47627 because 47627 describes an intended behavior (i.e. that the icons are shifted left/right or up/down depending on the visibility of the panel).
