I am also having this same problem but have found that running dcop kded mountwatcher reloadExclusionLists does make the icon appear on the desktop (or change its state if the unmounted is displayed). This only started when I updraded to 3.3.1 I have been investigating this issue (on my SuSe8.2/KDE3.3.1) It seems to be related to my .gnupg folder. If I remove it it starts to work. I don't know if this is the same for Tom. I recently updated (from sources to the latest GnuPG) if that helps *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 62627 *** Bug closed. Kdesktop is no more mantained. |
