Compiler:          gcc version 3.3.3 (Debian 20040422)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.4.24

Since auto away messages are really boring on IRC channels (imagine the mess if every on has an auto away message amont 200 participants) ... but really useful for jabber & such, a nice feature would be to disable the auto away message only for IRC sessions.

I think that this should be implemented as a general feature for group chats, it might be as annoying when joining a Jabber group chat.

Could you just make it only display the away message once per chat? (to clarify, people on other IRC clients don't see the away messages, only those of us using Kopete.)

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
