Hi,
I just wants simple (and optional, of couse) "layered" model of editing image - something like stack of images, where each layer can be hidden/shown, merged and removed. Image editing affects only "current" layer.

This may sounds like Photoshop or Gimp, but, of couse, my wish is (maybe) simple: no alpha-channel (just 1-bit transparencey, as now in whole image), no layer effects, no layer opacity, no blenging modes. (Really.)

As for beginning, there also is not required saving layered image - only "flatten" version to export final image. But this will greatly improve power of Kolourpaint, e.g., in pix-art painting.

P.S. sorry for my worse English. Don't know how hard to implement this wish, but I'll hope it's possible at all.

Maybe in a future app based on KolourPaint.
What is "pix-art"?

Reassigning bugs to KolourPaint support email address.

is this still valid in kolourpaint 4.2.4?

Would really be good if there were just simple layers and even if it started just with additional text-only layer since text is what is likely to be changed a lot before the final version is done.
