i got a related wish, perhaps it would be enough to do it that way: - if a mail is shown as html, provide a button which loads all links on demand. - store the "show as html" and "load external links" per mail, so the settings are automatically re-applied when viewing the message again. Yes, it would be great if one could "load external links" on request. Especially those mail from a trusted source. Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented. Thank you for your understanding.
