I've changed the severity to normal and I'll fix the bug by making KMail omit mailing list aliases. But you will have to tell KMail about all the mailing list alias addresses by adding them to the Mailing List settings of the corresponding mailing list folder. Other solutions like adding an option are not an option. FYI, bug 109069 is a duplicate of this bug. It seems there are many people who are frustrated that kmail has decided that it is smarter than they are and would rather have a knob to just turn this "feature" off. None of the other MTA's I've used (Mail.app, pine, mutt, etc.) have this "feature". Please reconsider your current stance as right now it comes off as rather arrogant and condescending. Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback. |
