Yes please attach the samples to this bug report. Without samples it is very hard to find out where the bug is. Before you do that I suggest to upgrade to 3.2.3 to see if the crash has no already been fixed. Thanks for reporting the bug. Can you please attach the texts that it crashes on, without them i'll have to close it as cant reproduce. You could also test if it is fixed with KDE 3.3. Thanks in advance No response in a week, maybe you are on vacation. In that case reopen when you are back. But please attach the samples and tell me what your settings are (i'm suspecting yet another -bB (ignore whitespace) diff problem). Created attachment 7402 [details]

(Not original bug reporter, but I believe it's the same bug)
Unpack bzip2 Tarchive containing two subdirs into temp dir somewhere.
Crash happens while Komparing the two dirs, zlib121 and zlib1211, and then
clicking a subdir - example as400.
Best regards

It seems this error not corrected yet in 3.2, and i've forgotten to send
attachments to bugzilla. (I've just mailed to one of developers)
Hi Eugene, I've tested the files in "sample", and can not reproduce this crash with kompare from kde 3.3.x H.P.J. Groeneweg: I've also tested with your attachment, and again I cannot reproduce it with 3.3.x I've not tested with 3.2, but since 3.3.x has now been released, there will not be any more releases in the 3.2.x series, so if the problem is still there in KDE_3_2_BRANCH, fixing it would be somewhat futile since the fixed version would never be released. If you can still reproduce this with 3.3.1, please reopen this bug. leaving as reolved worksforme. - Jeff |
