I liked your localization argument, Marcus. I have the same issue when replying to Norwegian emails. Here is another argument: 3) The prefix is not necessary and it is counter productive. *** This bug has been confirmed by popular vote. *** Any progress? When I choose norwegian as language, I DO NOT want Kmail to make my e-mails semi-english. Even Microsoft does this right in Outlook. I do not think so. Five months have passed, but no developer have showed any interest. Remember to vote for the bug everyone! There is the possibility to configure detected prefixes for "Re:" and "Fwd:". Under there is a checkbox where you can specify whether they should be replaced by "Re:" and "Fwd:". There would be a good place to make the added prefix configureable - or deactivate adding it. This could be implemented by a junior. [FIXED} You can change this option in Configure KMail > Composer Closing as fixed in KMail2 |
