Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.2.2)
Installed from:    Gentoo Packages
OS:                Linux

In KDE 3.2.2 as root everything works perfect and i can normally open the konsole, but when logged in as a user and want to open the konsole it opens the konsole window but the cursor just keeps blinking and there is no shell, everything else if ok.

I tried various things but nothing solved this problem.

most likely you have a premission problem somewhere and not a konsole bug. have you tried to open a console using another program, such as xterm or eterm ? did you try to log in in a virtual terminal ?

Sounds like a system problem.  Try Comment #1 suggestions.  Ask on Gentoo mailing list/forum.
