Version:           0.8.91 (CVS >= 20040626) (using KDE 3.2.91 (3.3 beta1), SuSE)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.3.3 (SuSE Linux)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.5-7.95-default

When creating a new account, a error box pops up with "Impossible to load the protocol 'Jabber'". 

Worked fine in 3.2, doesn't work now...

That's a broken installation. Make sure that you don't have stale files left and that you actually compiled and installed the plugin. Also verify the dependencies such as libidn.
