Oh, sorry, it's Kword version 1.3.1 on Slackware 10 RC 1. Does doing file/save does the same? Can you check that Ctrl+s is really linked to file/save and not to file/"save as"? Have a nice day! Yes and yes. I did that the first time I hit ctrl+s and the export filter dialog popped up. There was no accompanying dialog to specify file type. This is very annoying because I hit ctrl+s every time I finish typing a sentence or completely an edit to a paragraph. Long, long years of practice have led me to this behaviour :) Ah. I think that I understand now what you mean. Yes, the filter dialog is called everytime because the filter runs again everytime. Have a nice day! This is a usability problem. Yes, I agree this is a bug. I've been meaning to file this for a while and since it's HIG Hunting Season, it would be good to get rid of it. A lot of people, including myself, prefer plain text for editing simple documents. And the best thing about .txt is that every editor (and good old cat and grep) supports it. Our filter framework should support this, really. |
