Description Mark Hall 2004-06-19 16:32:41 UTC
Version: 1.0 (using KDE KDE 3.2.3)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

If I run amarok on desktop 2, then log out showing desktop 1, kde will restart on desktop 1 and amarok will display on desktop 1 instead of desktop 2.
Comment 1 Kde 2004-06-23 14:46:41 UTC
It is not showing anymore at all on my system. I've been running it for some time right after installing, but now since I've restarted my machine the UI does not appear anymore at all (I've checked all desktops).
I can see that the app itself is running and I hear the music, but no indication of it anywhere on my desktop.

Deleting '.kde/share/apps/amarok/' did not help.

What version for the second bug report? This should be fixed in cvs at least.
Comment 3 Kde 2004-09-18 12:27:45 UTC
Seems to be fixed in the version I am running now (says 1.0-CVS in 'About Amarok' and version 1.0.2 according to the SuSE RPM).
Comment 4 Kde 2004-09-18 19:22:03 UTC
No, my error. Still showing on whatever desktop that is first active on startup, so it is not fixed in the above version.
Comment 5 Mark Kretschmann 2004-09-18 19:45:59 UTC
Please test with a CVS-Snapshot from http://amarok.kde.org
Comment 6 Max Howell 2004-09-19 02:33:48 UTC
desktop thing wont be fixed yet in cvs I am fairly certain
Comment 7 Nicolas Girard 2004-10-20 14:37:33 UTC
Please close this bug as INVALID. At the time it was filled, there were such problems related to kwm, which have been solved now.
Comment 8 Mark Kretschmann 2004-10-20 15:23:40 UTC
done.
Comment 9 Max Howell 2004-10-23 10:31:56 UTC
I don't think this is fixed though to be honest.
Comment 10 James Smith 2005-10-27 07:20:51 UTC
This bug is most certainly NOT resolved, or invalid. Expected behaviour would have Amarok restore onto the virtual desktop it was on before logout. This does not happen for me currently. Amarok 1.3.3, kde 3.5 beta 2.
Comment 11 David Saxton 2005-12-05 10:06:03 UTC
This bug needs to be reopened, as amaroK still opens on the the wrong desktop. (btw, I'm experiencing this with xinerama - if that makes any difference).
Comment 12 Monkey 9 2007-09-23 10:26:43 UTC
This bug is again actual in SuSE 10.3 (RC1)
At least Amarok comes back, (which wasn't until now).
