Description Christian Biesinger 2004-06-18 16:45:39 UTC
Version: 1.3.1 (using KDE KDE 3.2.1)
OS: Linux

note: this may be instead a problem in the german translation

the first item in the "session" menu is called "Neues Befehlsfenster"; this would be "New command window".

however, that item actually only creates a new tab. it should be called "New command tab" or something.

Thank you for your bug report/feature request.

I checked your suggestion but it's not that easy. If you hide the
the "Unterfensterleiste" the "Befehlsfenster" does not look like a tab anymore
as the user only sees the last opened window. In this case the string "New
command tab" would be irritating too.

The other reason I do not fix the translation is that it is correct
as the english text does not mention a tab. We can not "fix" a
wrong or confusing english text by changing only the translation.

So if you want this to be changed please file a bugreport for konsole. If the
english text is changed the translation will be fixed automatically.

I therefore close your report now for package kde-de.
