Version:           3.2.2 (using KDE 3.2.2,  (testing/unstable))
Compiler:          gcc version 3.3.3 (Debian 20040401)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.4

When downloading (or copying) a file to ~/desktop the entire desktop updates (and flickers) as the file grows larger. This seems very redundant since the size isnt displayed anywhere on the desktop.  Possible kdesktop crashes experienced because of this but cant confirm yet.
