Sentry Crash Report:

Description Ferdinand Gassauer 2004-06-15 08:39:31 UTC
Version:           3.2.90 (using KDE 3.2.90 (3.3 alpha1, CVS >= 20040522), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (SuSE Linux)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.4-54.5-smp

I get squares instead of the umlaute on www.derstandard.at

It's font problem. Use font with umlaute. To chek it - copy text form page with squares, look up in some app for font selector with text about brown fox and paste there. Now you have to find font who shows your umlautes correctly and then set this font in Konqueror.
My Konqueror is set up to show correctly pages with latvian characters, but umlaute showd up correctly.

Cannot confirm. This site shows up fine, even though it tells me that my Konqueror doesn't support the latest standards *grin*.
