i have very nice pictures in the background of kdm on every of my boxes. but the login box as small is i can get it is opaque, hiding the part of the picture behind it. now if we could have konsole-like configurable transluciency, that would be nice ...

no. :-P
for a related report, see bug 37349. the greeter theming stuff will imply translucency.

do you care for this feature regardless of the (halfways working) theming stuff? otherwise i'd close this report. but even if it stays open chances are really low that somebody will ever implement it.

yes, i'd like this feature independtly of the theme. too bad if no one works 
on it but i'll take my chances ... better late than never :-)
