Version:           3.0.2 (using KDE KDE 3.2.3)
Installed from:    Compiled From Sources
Compiler:          gcc 3.2

Events on the tabbar (like closing, moving or pressing tabs) cause a lot of repaints on the tabbar. This behaviour is also somewhat visible in Konqueror when moving tabs, but in KDevelop it's quite extreme.

With what Qt version? Qt 3.3 improved in this respect.

I'm using 3.2.2 atm. So I guess this BR is invalid.

Bram: which tabs are you talking about exactly? The ones on the sides, or the ones in the editor window?

I was talking about the editor tabs, where you can switch between documents in the IDEAI mode.

However, I can't reproduce it anymore. Too many factors have been changed in the meantime (new PC, another distro, Qt and KDE 3.3).

Candidate for INVALID? Or can anyone reproduce flicker behavior?

kmdi has been removed in KDE 4 and no more fixes will be made for KDE 3.5.x. The
apps that were using kmdi in the KDE SVN repository have moved to their own
multi-document implementations
