Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.2)
Installed from: FreeBSD Ports
OS: FreeBSD

I would like to have a PIM component that is similar to MS OneNote, which can organize notes in tree-structured categories and attach related files to the notes. Although there are already some note organizers out there, such as TuxCards, KnowIt, NoteBookManager, none of them have a full feature list that is comparable with MS OneNote. I think we can implement a feature-rich tree-structured note organizer based on KMail, because:

  1. This new component needs a tree-structured storage, and KMail can do it.
  2. This new component needs to save attachments with the notes, which is similar to a MIME e-mail message
  3. This new component needs a rich-text editor, and when KMail's HTML mail composer is done, it fits this task
  4. Other features such as hyperlinks, displaying attachments in line, printing, ..., are already available in KMail.

So I really hope the PIM team can consider this suggestion and make more use of the cool KMail.
