Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.2)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs

I'd love to be able to send any form in a new tab/window instead of actual one, just as I can open new links that way.

This feature would be very useful in many scenarios, because although there are other ways to do the same task without the feature, I belive they are less transparent or less easy for the khtml user :-).

Test case scenario:

Let's say I want to send two similar but customised emails via webmail. I could just send the first one to another tab in the background, with the focus still in the actual tab. While that other is being sended, I could be modifying the first form and then send it, without the need of opening a new for the other email, copying the email or doing anything more. Just that easy.

There are webmails which use a custom javascript for opening the popup window from where I can send a email so that I cannot have two of that windows opened at a time...

Which could be the best way the user would send a form to another tab ?

I've thought about at least two: clicking with the middle button of the mouse woud be a good idea. You could also use Ctrl+click. Both ways are already implmented to open links in a background tab in konqueror, so I feel like that's the best way.

I've also thought that the buttons might have a contextual menu for this feature, but I guess that it would be innecesary and even more difficult to implement. So I guess that we should forget it :-).

Is my feature/wish possible ? What do you think ?
