Description Greg Sullivan 2004-05-17 21:55:06 UTC
Version: 1.6 (using KDE 3.2.0, (3.0))
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.4 20011002 (Debian prerelease)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.24

When starting a new message, and typing (or pasting) in a To or CC address that isn't already in the address book, it should be easy to add this new address to the address book.

Two possibilities (not mutually exclusive):
   (1) right-click over address and context-sensitive menu should include (Add to Address book) - selecting this should open address book new entry dialogue, with email address filled in.

  (2) when sending an email to addresses not in address book, should have a choice of behavior:
       (a) always add to address book
       (b) prompt for whether or not to add to address book
       (c) don't bother checking this.

Well, it should work also without composing new mail. User should be able to add address to addresbook right from mail list.
Comment 3 Christoph Lange 2010-08-19 22:08:39 UTC
Let me make a stupid comment to (possibly) revive the discussion. Even my favorite mail client from 1998 (which happened to be Outlook Express) could do that, IIRC.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.
Comment 5 Luigi Toscano 2012-08-19 00:52:51 UTC
Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
