Description Alexander Reinholdt 2004-05-17 12:07:54 UTC
Version: 2.2.1 (using KDE 3.2.2, (testing/unstable))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (Debian 20040401)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.5

Within TeX mode Kate sometimes does a line break within a word, when the line gets too long. This happens mostly, when you edit somewhere in the text and not if you add something to the end.

Could you please provide a sample file and a instruction how to make this happen?

Kate should break at a space if there is one, and a while ago i made it use other characters to break at as well, defined in the language highlight file (this has not yet been released)

To reproduce this bug you can take any LaTeX file. If you edit something in the middle of the text body and you get to the end of the line (with the cursor while writing), the last word in the line will probably be chopped. But it is strange that it does not occur every time. I can't see a pattern by now, but I'll inform you as soon as I found one.
