Description Pupeno 2004-05-15 19:05:30 UTC
Version: 0.8.1 (using KDE 3.2.1, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 20031218 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.2-r5, propolice-3.3-7)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.5-gentoo-r1

Kopete is great when you are using a lot of diferent IM protocols, but some times, it is used only for one protocol, like my case, only Jabber.
For newbies (that even know that more than one protocol exist, that even know what a protocol or what jabber is), using Kopete with only one protocol might be a bit hard, a bit hard to understand only because all the kopete messages are prepared for more than one protocol, for example:
"Set Available Globaly"
"Set Away Globaly"
"Conntect to all"
It would be nice that if using only one protocol, it would be:
"Set Available"
"Set Away"
"Conntect"
that's the begining and I don't think it is that hard to implement that.
Other things that might be changed is that the protocol specific right-click menu might be merged with the right-click menu if only one protocol is enabled.
Thank you.

This has finally been done in KDE 3.4 i think.

Gof thinks it's been done, and looking at Kopete 0.12.3. I would have to agree. Please point out specific cases in new wishes if there is something that could be made better.
