Sentry Crash Report:

Description Abe Ezekowitz 2004-05-14 16:59:01 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.2)
Compiler: gcc - unknown version
OS: Linux

When ever KDE exits abnormally, such as a power failure, or blackout, or KDE crashes for some unknown reason, all the settings such as colors, window themes, fonts, settings in certain programs that rely on KDE, etc all get reset back to the factory defaults as if ~/.kde and related directories and rc files have been deleted. Furthermore, my own custom theme in KDE control center's theme dialog gets completely deleted. Additionally in one instance, my FireFox settings and bookmarks were deleted also. Is this a feature in KDE that can be turned off?

Which filesystem and mount options do you use?
Comment 2 Abe Ezekowitz 2004-10-19 15:37:23 UTC
I'm using reiserfs. here is the corresponding line from my /etc/fstab file.

/dev/hda1 / reiserfs defaults 1 1

I guess my mount options are the default settings. :)
