Description Nathan Toone 2004-05-04 00:06:41 UTC
Version: unknown (using KDE 3.2.90 (CVS >= 20040117), Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 20031218 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.2-r5, propolice-3.3-7)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.5-gentoo

When a contact has been tied to the address book, it should be possible to send that contact an email - even if they are offline.

There should probably also be a visual clue that a contact has been associated with the address book. Maybe show an email icon along with the other (account) icons for the contact? Clicking on the email icon would then bring up a kmail window to send an email to that contact.

This would be really useful - and a lot of instant messenger clients do this - allow to send an email when the user is offline.
