Description cerebro84 2004-04-28 22:20:49 UTC
Version: 1.6.51 (using KDE 3.2.90 (CVS >= 20040117), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (Mandrake Linux 9.2 3.3.1-4mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.4-rc2

I use KDE from cvs, and I've ever got a problem: every time I install kdepim, my kmail toolbar settings are reset. Why? Isn't it a way to keep my settings?

Which kind of settings are you referring to?
Icon size and position should be kept, if they're not it's a bug.
Icon shortcuts (and custom icons, since today) should be kept too.

But toolbar customizations (adding or removing icons from toolbars) can NOT be
kept when developers change the layout of the menu or toolbar of the application.
There's no way to merge your changes with the developers changes, so when
the version number of the installed .rc file is increased, the local changes are discarded.

Ok, so I'll close the bug because it can't be resolved (my problem was to keep toolbar customizations)
