I had the same problem with KDE 3.2.3 (from KDE-Redhat RPMS). From bug 82456 (which may be a duplicate?) I got the suggestion to delete the .*.index files, and that seems to have corrected it. Memory usage is now down to 50 (from ca 200) (more on the first start, because it needed to recreate the indices). Perhaps it would be good if there was a menu "Recreate indices". And if kmail checked the folders somehow if they take an unusual size? |
