When you hold down MB3 on a link in Konqueror and select Open With... then an application selection box pops up. 
I wish for that selection box to also carry a panel or quick launcher or similar. Similar to the KDE main menu panel or its quick launcher. To allow quick selection of the app instead of having to search the menu for the desired app.

That raises the question... why have two application selection apps - the KDE main menu/panel and the Open With... popup? Couldn't they somehow be the one and same?

An alternative is maybe to drop the Open With... popup alltogether and instead allow the user to select the app from the KDE main menu/panel after first selecting the object that the app should open. Maybe all objects could be selected using Ctrl-MB1 as is already the pratice when selecting files in Konqueror. In  short as an example... I'm on a webpage that embeds a link to a video clip. I select the link using Ctrl-MB1 and then move the mouse to the KDE panel where I click Xine in the quick launch area. And Xine pops up and starts playing the link.
