Description YbbY 2004-04-24 15:17:49 UTC
Version: kde-base/kdenetwork-3.2.1 (using KDE KDE 3.2.1)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 20031218 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.2-r5, propolice-3.3-7)
OS: Linux

when opening a session on a kde desktop via tightvncviewer on a remote client, then the krfb processes + X are loading the CPU at quite 100%. the system is slow.

opening a similar session on a vncserver :1, does not eat so much cpu cycle and the computers are more responsives.

i'd like to know:

1) is this effect due to the bufferring functions of krfb?
2) can it be a bug due to the compilation flags? or xfree ?
3) can it be enhanced ? how could i help giving more clues on this issue ?
