Description Daniel Franke 2004-03-20 01:31:23 UTC
Version: 0.5 (using KDE 3.2.1, compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-99-default

I tried to assign [Windows + M] to KMail:

The "Add shortcut" dialog appears, and [Windows] is displayed correctly after pressing the appropiate key. When pressing [Windows]+[M] together, the 'Windows'-String dissapears from shortcut editor, just M is displayed. Assuming this could be an display error only, I saved my change und selected an empty desktop. Each time the M-key is pressed, KMail pops up. Each time. Try to write an article then ;)

Assigning [Alt]+[M] works, though.

XFree86 version shipped with SUSE9.0 has broken keymaps, as soon as you use kxkb the fourth modifier stops acting as a modifier.

I used KDE-3.1.4 RPM's shipped with SuSE 9.0 before compiling 3.2.1 myself - I'm not 100% sure, but I believe there it worked?!
