Our PC has several users, so having multiple sessions running at the same time is a great thing.  The "Start new session" button is great.

But there's a problem: when I walk up to the console, I may not remember if I'm already logged in.  To find out, I have to page through all of the different screens-- Ctrl-Alt-F7, wait, Ctrl-Alt-F8, wait, etc.  If I forget to do this and log in for a second session, I'm likely to have problems with applications that start up as part of my KDE session, but that don't like to have two copies running.

There are several possible fixes for this:

(1) When I press "Start new session", I'd like to be presented with a menu that shows all of the currently running sessions.  I can choose from one of the existing ones, or start a new one.

(2) Allow a user to specify that s/he always wants to log in on the same VT.  That way, I can just check VT8, for example, and not bother looking around at the others.

(3) When I type or click on my user name, if I'm already logged in at another session, an "Open existing session" button could be enabled, allowing me to choose that session instead of starting a new one.  Or, "Open existing session" could be an option that I set by default, but can clear at login time.

Any or all of these improvements would be welcome.
