Component: kwalletAssignee: George Staikos <staikos>
Status: RESOLVED DUPLICATE
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR

Target Milestone: ---
Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Latest Commit: Version Fixed In:

Description Andrew Somerville 2004-03-15 20:04:10 UTC
Version: 1.0 (using KDE KDE 3.2.0)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc 3.3.3
OS: Linux

About a week ago, kwallet stopped being able to authenticate me with the same password I've always used for kwallet. I've been in and out of KDE several times since, and it still is not verifying my password.

It says "Invalid password for kde wallet. Please try again. -7"

Which hardware architecture? Also, what is the output of:

ls -l ~/.kde/share/apps/kwallet/

That looks pretty empty. kded must have crashed during a kwallet write and
resulted in a truncated file. This is a known problem that I will fix asap.
