Description Sven Hummel 2004-03-15 09:09:06 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.1)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
OS: Linux

After the update to 3.2.1 i have noticed that the linedrawing chars
are shrinked in relation to the text chars.
They are almost half of size.

The look of windows are destroyed.

You can simply re-check this with dialog or kdialog output inside
the konsole.

I'am not pretty sure if this behaivor has happen after the
update from 3.2.0 to 3.2.1.

Sure is that 3.1.5 doesn't have this bug.

Another behaivor

I tried further to get more information about this bug
and what i find is this.

If i move a different window over the terminal-window
with an active dialog the lines get redrawn in a different way.

I further found out that by changing the "general-font" in the
KDE control center to "courier" the horizontal lines (spacing) are
ok.
The vertical ones have still the problem.
Comment 6 Sven Hummel 2004-06-05 15:07:25 UTC
Today i have updated to Fedora Core 2 with KDE 3.2.2 and Konsole 1.3.2.

The result is simular and the problem is still there.

Snapshot of dialog --gauge text 10 80 100

This shows some problems... I would say it is font related... I wouldn't expect
a fast resolution (from me anyway).

% konsole --version
Qt: 3.3.2
KDE: 3.2.90 (3.3 alpha1, CVS >= 20040522)
Konsole: 1.3.90

% dialog --version
Version: 0.9b-20031002
