Version:           arts-1.2.0,1 (using KDE KDE 3.2.0)
Installed from:    FreeBSD Ports

On login artsd crashes and causes a SIGSEGV. This continues throughout the use of KDE, (minimizing, maximizing, closing) usually occurring when something makes a sound. The strange thing is... the sound still works afterwards. It may cause as many as 30 SIGSEGV's repeatedly for every sound made, or go 30 minutes without one. It claims it is unable to create backtraces as well. Here is what little information is included on the backtrace tab:

Some additional info. I had just upgraded from KDE 3.1.4 to 3.2.0, and I'm assuming arts was upgraded during that as well. This problem never occurred prior to the upgrade. I even completely deleted kde3 from my system, along with arts, and ANY folder kde put on my system, then reinstalled. This problem still occurred.

Every time a sound is called the artsd crashes with SIGSEGV signal 11. I had done a YAST Online Update earlier today and noticed a kamix upgrade.

Hardware is SoundBlaster Live! card.
