As i can't reopen http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23687 i am posting it again.

I really think a square root button is essential, most people (99%) i know don't know sqrt(x) = x ^ 1 / 2, so they won't be able of doing square roots.

I mean kcalc has lots of 'strange' buttons normal people will never undestand what they mean and it doesn't has a sqrt button even the most cheap calculators out there have.

I second this. Square root is usually persieved as a basic operation, not as a power of 0.5.

Lol I see there is still not sqrt button, this suggestion having been lumped in with the rest but its really needed. I did learn that x raised to the power of 0.5 is the same so thanks guys

There is a square root button. Press the bug SHIFT button in the top-right http://i.imgur.com/K8OVQmZ.png
then you will see it.
