Description ed hyatt 2004-02-14 22:40:13 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Suse 9.0 upgraded to Kde 3.2, now when I start up the computer, loading linux, when it reaches the point of restoring previous settings I start getting loud noises. Sometimes when I reconfigure my sound card it will stop and the sound will now work.
Reproduce: In the control center, under sound, you can not load or save volumes, this will start the load noise again.
While trying to set system notifications arts crashed and kept telling me it had crashed until I rebooted the machine. I had none of these problems on any previous versions of kde.

Have read many news post and it seems a lot of people on many different distributions of linux are having the same problem after they upgraded to 3.2.
