Sentry Crash Report:

Description Mohd Asif Ali Rizwaan 2004-02-10 01:40:27 UTC
Version: v0.8.3 (using KDE 3.2.0, compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.2.3
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.22

How to reproduce:

1. Open HTTP KDE Download mirror
2. You can see many *.rpm or *.tgz or *.deb files like kdebase-3.2.x-i486.tgz etc.
3. Now if you want to download all say 20 files from arts-to-kdevelop
4. you have to individually click on each file and save it (using kget)
5. or use shift+click on each file to save it (using kget).
6. still you get many "Save" dialogs which becomes annoying (who like 20 save dialogs)

So, to overcome this problem: I request and suggest "Download All using KGet" option in Konqueror RMB menu. When Click KGet should prompt with a Dialog like:

Example:
A website containing some JPG, some PNG and HTML and some RPM and some TGZ files. Now you only want to download TGZ and PNG files

Expected/Requested Behavior:
KGet should prompt with
--------------------------
Choose File types to download:
[ ] JPG
[x] PNG
[ ] RPM
[ ] tgz
[ ] or whatever type file exist on that page like *.zip, *.exe, *.mp3, *.ogg, *.txt etc...

Save To: [ choose folder ]

[ Cancel ] [OK]
--------------------------

in this way one can download many files of same or different types quickly and without annoyance. thank you.

This is now possible with the Konqueror plugin (code in trunk, part of KDE 4.0).
