Version:           3.2.0 (using KDE KDE 3.2.0)
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs

I can invoke a Java Applet using the (deprecated) "applet" tag but not with the "object" tag.

Test case:
<http://homepage.mac.com/qeygh/applet-tag.html> works, but
<http://homepage.mac.com/qeygh/object-tag.html> does not.

Konqueror should support the "object" tag as defined in the HTML specification: <http://www.w3.org/TR/1998/REC-html40-19980424/struct/objects.html#edef-APPLET>  

My tests we performed with the Sun java 1.4.2 supplied by SuSE 9.0.
