Hi,

kfind (embedded in konqueror) vanishes, but is still active (at least the icon in the "Extras" menu is still 'active'), when you change e.g. from list view to icon view or similar.

Problem still exists in KDE 3.3.1  :-(
Even worse: when you change the icon view you cannot access your searched files and have to repeat your search. Very annoying.

This is the same bug as the second part of Bug 78839 (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78839).
The report of Bug 78839 gives some further information, so this one may be marked duplicate.

this bug is still valid (changing view mode while searching hides the search widget). Please have a look at this bug.

KFind-Konqueror integration was removed in KDE SC 4 due the lack of manpower to port it (no maintainer)
This bug report is no longer valid.
