Description Marcin Palka 2004-02-09 00:15:20 UTC
Version: 1.6 (using KDE 3.2.0, Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (Mandrake Linux 9.2 3.3.1-2mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.22-10mdk

I am KDE 3.2 user a just noticed that KMail's config window is too high to fit
on screen in 1024x768 (my notebook cannot display more). Even when window is
maximized i cannot reach bottom window border to resize it. Windows cannot be downsized at all. I realized that window is so big because Security module contains lots of text if using my native locales (PL). It has been automatically increased to fit all text in that module. It depends on the amount of text to be displayed in security module of KMail's config. It might vary depending on localization, i have Polish locales and there is too much text to display.

Sorry for the noise. I'll mark this one as duplicate of bug #74259 since this seems to be a problem with the Polish translation. A screenshot of the Security configuration would help to show the problem.

Yes, it is the same problem but i have some doubts whether it strictly translation problem or both translation and app. In fact is that you cannot forsee the length of language-specific content. IMHO it should be somehow handled, for example by adding scrollbars if needed (like it is done in some modules of kcontrol).
