Description Dominic Battre 2004-02-05 21:50:34 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.0)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

In line with the posting of http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-usability&m=107029658403580&w=2 I would like to ask to change the order of the zoom buttons.

Afaic the order [-][100%][+] is much more natural than [+][100%][-]. Its just the order we usually use: (small)left->right(big)

acroread uses the same order ([-][100%][+]).

As zooming is much more often involved in kghostview and kdvi than in konqueror, I would rate the problem of a wrong order much higher than an inconsistency with konqueror. - It really confuses me, every time I press the button. ;)

I have NOT filed seperate bugs for kpdf/kdvi. In case you agree, a backport to KDE_3_2_BRANCH would be really nice. :-)

Maybe we can fix this till 3.2.2 (according to the votes this seems to be an agreement that the current behaviour is wrong).

Sorry for bugging. I just think that this bug might be forgotten. It's easy to fix. I'd do it myself but I don't have a CVS account.

Replaced dominic.battre@web.de with mikelima@virgilio.it due to bounces by reporter

In Okular there’s two buttons instead, one to zoom out and another one to zoom in. They are in the suggested order already.
